Overview

The Faded Collective sells two categories of products: professional barber tools (clippers, trimmers, shavers, and accessories from brands like Andis, Wahl, BabyLissPRO, JRL, and StyleCraft) and our Fade the World in-house product line (styling compounds, fragrances, and sprays).

Warranty coverage differs between these categories. Please read below to understand what applies to your purchase.

Professional Barber Tools — Manufacturer Warranty

All professional tools sold through The Faded Collective are sourced from authorized distributors and carry the respective manufacturer's warranty. We do not offer an independent warranty on third-party tools — warranty claims must be handled directly with the manufacturer.

What Manufacturer Warranties Typically Cover

Generally Covered
  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Motor failure under normal use
  • Defective blade alignment from factory
  • Electrical faults not caused by misuse
  • Product failure within the warranty period
Generally Not Covered
  • Normal wear and tear (blades, guards, etc.)
  • Damage from dropping, water, or misuse
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs
  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents)
  • Commercial use on consumer-grade products

How to File a Warranty Claim

  1. Locate your proof of purchase. You will need your order confirmation email or order number from The Faded Collective.
  2. Contact the manufacturer directly using the support contact listed in the table above or on the warranty card in your product packaging.
  3. If the manufacturer asks for a retailer receipt, log into your account at thefadedcollective.com/account to find your order details, or contact us and we will provide documentation.
  4. Follow the manufacturer's process for return/replacement. Most brands provide a prepaid label or service center option.

Fade the World Products — Our Guarantee

Fade the World products (styling compounds, fragrances, sprays) are consumable personal care items and are not covered by a standard warranty. However, we stand behind every formula we make.

Our Guarantee

If you receive a Fade the World product that is defective, damaged, or not as described — wrong item, contaminated formula, damaged packaging — contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will make it right with a replacement or full refund, no questions asked.

This guarantee does not cover dissatisfaction with scent, hold level, or performance, as these are subjective. We provide detailed formula profiles on each product page to help you choose the right product for your style.

DOA (Dead on Arrival) Policy

If any product arrives non-functional or damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at fadedllcbarbershop@gmail.com with your order number and photos of the issue. We will either:

  • Ship a replacement at no cost, or
  • Coordinate a manufacturer warranty exchange, or
  • Issue a full refund including original shipping

Photos are required for DOA claims to help us report product issues to our suppliers.
